Dental Crowns And Bridges – Colorado Springs, CO

Multiple Ways To Repair Or Replace Damaged Teeth

At Aesthetic Dentistry by Design, our team focuses on prevention as much as possible to help you avoid major dental problems. But, despite our best efforts, sometimes teeth sustain severe damage from cavities, fractures, and other injuries. Fortunately, we have outstanding solutions for any situation. If we're unable to repair a damaged tooth with a simple filling, we might recommend a dental crown. Or, if an extraction is necessary because a tooth can't be saved, we have replacement options such as a dental bridge or implant. If you have damaged or missing teeth, give us a call to schedule a visit. We'll create a customized treatment plan to give you the healthy, beautiful smile you deserve!

How Does a Dental Crown Work?

A dental crown is a type of restoration that fits snugly over the entire crown of a tooth (the visible portion that you see above the gumline). There are multiple reasons we may recommend a crown such as protecting a tooth after a root canal, when damage is too severe to be repaired with a filling, or to mask cosmetic flaws).

Before we began using advanced CEREC technology, a dental crown would normally take two visits. Now, your crown can be done in our office in just one visit. With strong, beautiful ceramic material, we'll precisely match the size, shape, and color of your crown to your existing teeth so it looks very natural. Here's how the process works:

How Does a Dental Bridge Work?

A dental bridge is a non-removable restoration that replaces a missing tooth by using the two healthy teeth on either side as support. After putting dental crowns on these two teeth, they're fused to a "floating" dental crown in the middle to bridge the gap. This restores the function and appearance of a complete smile. The process is very similar to getting a dental crown, and we can make your bridge with the same CEREC technology in just one visit.

Benefits of Combining a Crown and Bridge With Dental Implants

An implant is the only option that replaces your entire tooth structure (root and crown), which is the key factor that makes it stand out. Here are just some of the reasons to consider supporting a crown and bridge with dental implants:

Not to mention that we have the advanced training and technology to handle each step of the implant process right here in our office, so you won't have to leave the team you already know and trust!
