If you could change the shape, size, and color of your teeth, would you do it? If you’re like many of our patients, your answer is a resounding “YES!” For patients looking to gain a more beautiful and confident smile, Dr. Gasper has a treatment that Hollywood stars and models have relied on for decades: porcelain veneers. In just two appointments, he can custom-design your dream smile and make it a reality you’ll be able to enjoy for decades to come with porcelain veneers in Colorado Springs.
Porcelain veneers are like little masks for your teeth. A thin covering made of dental-grade ceramic is placed over a tooth, and it can be made to look like pristine white enamel. They can fix/mask a variety of flaws all at the same time, and thanks to the strong bonding material, patients can trust that their newly made-over teeth will be as strong and reliable as ever.
Porcelain veneers have been extremely popular for a long time because they can help correct a wide variety of aesthetic issues at the same time, including:
If you’re interested in any cosmetic dentistry, the first step is to have a conversation with Dr. Gasper. He’ll ask you about what you want your final results to look like, and then he’ll give you a brief oral exam. After going over all of your treatment options, if you both decide that porcelain veneers are the best fit, he’ll get to work designing them for you.
He’ll start by removing a very tiny portion of enamel from the teeth that will be receiving veneers. This will ensure that they lay flat and look natural. This is a completely painless process that only removes about 2mm of enamel (which is the thickness of a contact lens). He’ll then take an impression of your prepared teeth and send it to a dental lab. While your veneers are being made, he’ll fit you with a temporary set so you can “test-drive” your new smile.
After a week or so, you’ll return to Aesthetic Dentistry | Espire Dental so Dr. Gasper can remove your temporaries and place your permanent veneers onto your teeth. He’ll check their fit and your bite one last time, and that’s it! Your new smile will be ready for the world. With consistent oral hygiene and routine checkups with Dr. Gasper, your veneers should easily last for 20 years or more.
